He asks the girl if she would like to be 20, and she eagerly agrees. He puts her in adult size coat and hat, stands her up on a table, and tells her to visualize herself as a twenty year old, slowly growing. We see the oversized coat rising up from behind, the girl's hat and possibly long dark hair under the brim slowly climbing to adult height. She twirls around, the hat sliding away, and it's revealed she now has an adult face and body. Instead of the former preteen ending up nude under the coat, her blue jeans, garment top and shoes fortunately also became adult sized. Now sounding like a college girl, she says she feels older; hops from the table; looks in the mirror and shrieks, amazed that she became 20; and excitedly runs off to tell her mom.

The assistants of main character Ryuuichi Naruhodou (Phoenix Wright) are members of the Ayasato clan (Fey clan), a family where the women are mostly spirit mediums. When they channel a spirit, their external shape roughly changes into that of the body the spirit had when they died; the spirit then has control over the body while the medium goes unconscious. The black haired girl, Mayoi (Maya), and her younger cousin Harumi (Pearl) are channeling Mayoi's deceased 27-year-old sister and Ryuuichi's former mentor Chihiro (Mia). Aftermath caption (APed) One of many AP-related story genres, focusing on the immediate aftermath of an age progression transformation. Photographs of adult entertainers in erotic poses, often removing flimsy negligees or wearing tiny lingerie shirts, are combined with a short AP story describing a sudden growth spurt from a young girl into an adult woman. Common themes include aging potions and age changing devices, which the girls were warned to stay away from. It is not uncommon for the newly aged women to wish to explore their sexuality. The announcer says that if he had bought Kinney shoes, his feet wouldn't have been so sore. "At'sa good! Were'd I get them?" Ponce says.
