At the end the girl says something like "stop acting like a kid" and AP's the boy into a teen. The Place to which you Return July 7 2003, Yomiuri Telecasting Corp. 10 part miniseries. Saki Takaoka plays a formerly popular announcer on the crossroads of 35 years old. She worries what to do with her life. The shock of an accident at work causes a miscarriage. A medicine taken for the shock causes rapid rejuvenation. Her husband (Shunsuke Nakamura) watches the process. Takaoka performs from ages 35 to 25. While being bewildered by having regained her beauty, the rejuvenation does not stop. It changes her into a girl. Around episode 4 the heroine's role is handed over to a 17-year-old actress. Takaoka appears in flashbacks after that. In the end she is said to become a baby. Takaoka said she was "highly motivated and looked forward to playing different personality according to age." Based on Mr. Ichikawa's novel "Separation". (14months.com) (Akira)

Each child, while engaging in typical childhood activities, is imagining a life as free and wild as that of a tiger, dolphin, mustang, condor, or wolf.
- Woof! (TF's) Book, Allan Ahlberg. One morning, for no apparent reason, ten-year-old Eric Banks turns into a Norfolk terrier. This causes no end of problems for Eric, as his parents shoo him out of the house and he must fend for himself on the streets. - 12 "Melmo Goes Back to Being a Baby," appeared in July 1971 in Shogaku Ichinensei: Finding out that a woman is saddened after losing her child, Melmo transforms herself into a baby. But the woman turns out to be a big troublemaker, sticking milk into Melmo's nose by mistake, bathing her in hot boiling water, etc.
- 14: Trees in the forest are felled. Melmo dissolves candies in water so that they can grow back every time they are cut down. Melmo transforms herself into a forest nymph, and asks the unyielding landowner to preserve half the forest.
- 15: Girl is always bullying her kindergarten-age brother. Melmo turns the little brother into a child older than his sister. The girl goes into a TV station to do an audition. Melmo transforms into a TV director to play a trick on her.
- 16: Melmo makes a bullied bulldog puppy grow up. The bulldog starts to bully weaker dogs, but is captured during a roundup of strays.
- 18: Melmo dissolves red candies in water, pours the mix over the trees to make them smaller, and puts out a forest fire.
- 19: When Melmo feeds candies to a dying bird, it turns into a swan.
- 24: A mouse angel is taken away by a stray cat right in front of Melmo. Melmo takes a candy to grow up, and chases the cat.

Drawing Power Animated, NBC '80-'81. "Playground Power" From the creators of School House Rock. A superhero named Mr. Different transforms a troublesome boy into an old man and the pestered old woman into a young girl. There's also a seperate segment in the video in which some kids speculate on their future careers and quickly change into adult versions of themselves. In still another segment, a superhero named Supershoes transforms an unruly class clown into his older female teacher, kinda. He might just be wearing a dress and standing on a chair behind her desk. Supergirl (1984) In the novelization and comic book adaptation of the film, it's made clear that when Kara leaves Argo she ages several years from pre-teen to teen. Supergirl leaves Argo City in Kryptonian attire and arrives on Earth in a Supergirl costume. This was eventually discarded for the film so that Slater could be introduced from the beginning. Kara sits on red-yellow-and-blue material when the rocket leaves -- the makings of a super costume.

Milk: it Does a Body Good Guys stand in front of mirror, their images changing as they grow.
- A coach is standing next to the mirror and within it a little kid in a football jersey. He's small and skinny and says "C'mon coach..." asking him to let him play on the team and also that he's been drinking milk. Sure enough, the kid starts growing and by the time he's done he's much bigger and taller than the coach, his voice a booming bass.
- A high school freshman who was picked on by the other kids starts to work out and drink milk. There's a shot that switches between the skinny kid and the buffed up one, as he drinks his milk and flexes his thicker arm... in the end, the guy has totally outgrown his former oppressors as he bumps into them in the hall, doing nothing short of shocking his former bullies.
Hunk Cheesy 80s flick. Computer geek sells his soul to the devil in exchange for becoming a blond hunk. The transformation occurs when he's asleep and the series of shots featuring his muscles swelling -- with stretching sounds -- ends with a generous swelling in his boxers.
The Quiet Room (minor) 1996. Chloe and Phoebe Ferguson (7 and 3 respectively) play one girl at two different ages.
The Conjurer Princess Novel by Vivian Vande Velde. Sixteen-year-old Lylene's sister Beryl is kidnapped. Lylene sets out to rescue her sister. Wizard bestows her with magic powers she needs. The magic is limited to making temporary copies of real objects -- and in gaining it, she ages sixty years. The budding romance between Lylene and Weiland is nicely handled (although some might feel a man in his late twenties is a bit old for a girl of sixteen). Unable to regain her true age except by wishing her extra years onto others, Lylene does so with few pangs of conscience -- until, near the end of the book, Vande Velde somewhat hastily has her acknowledge the moral burden of this action.

- In 1999 the Wall of Sound music website reported that Britney Spears was actually eleven years older than popularly believed, making her 28 instead of 17. The revelation followed on the heels of a controversial cover for Rolling Stone which had shown the young Spears in a seductive pose. The Wall of Sound's report included many specific details. For instance, it alleged that Spears was actually born Belinda Sue Spearson in West Baton Rouge on August 7, 1970, and that she had attended Robert E. Lee High School. Former classmates were said to be willing to confirm Spears' true age. The hoax prompted hundreds of people to call Spears' record label inquiring about her age.

13 Going on 30 1st Quarter 2004. This comedy fantasy is about a gawky girl, Jenna, who is picked on by her peers and classmates for being too eager to be popular. Locked in a closet five days before her 13th birthday (after an embarassing round of the "7 minutes in the closet" kissing game), she makes a wish to become popular, and when she gets out of her entrapment, she discovers that she's skipped ahead 17 years to become a sexy and successful advertising agency executive just five days shy of her 30th birthday. The "nerdy kid from next door" has grown up to be good-looking and charming. Her boyfriend is a professional hockey player for the New York Rangers. The premise is similar to "Big", except of course that it is about a girl, not a boy. Also, in Big, the setting never changed, just the boy's age (he aged but the rest of the world didn't), whereas in this movie, the girl skips over 17 years of life that the rest of the world (as well as her grown up self) experienced.
Sabrina the Animated Series "Anywhere but Here", Episode: 1-14 1999. Sabrina is tired of being treated like a child - so Salem gives her an enchanted watch that makes her an adult and transports her into a world where she is a grownup. There Sabrina learns of the hassles of grown-up life - like taking care of her own kids- and decides being a preteen is not so bad. unknown 1980's (?) music video. A long time ago I saw a rock video. I remember the story but not the title. The clip began with a darkening night sky over a college or orphanage. A group of girls were going to bed under the eyes of three old women. The three go away, then a starship arrives and a band of rockers appears through the wall. The leader is dressed in a leather jacket, he scares the girls, burns a teddy bear (I think), then proceeds to play a guitar, changing the girls into women. The three old women return and the leader pulverizes them. The crew and the new women return to the starship and the leader destroys the building. The title could include the words "bad wolf". Portrait of Jennie 1948 Movie. The book was about a young struggling artist who meets a mysterious little girl playing by herself in a park. He befriends her and learns that her parents are high wire jugglers. She reappears a few more times, each time maturing by years, fulfilling a promise that the ten-year-old had made to 'hurry and grow up so they can be together always'. Basically, she seems disconnected from time. The artist's sketches of Jennie give him the break he needs to make his career, but before long Jennie is all he cares about. The book moves quickly to the inevitable ending. It allowed other people to see and interact with Jennie.
In the movie, Jennie is played at various ages by Jennifer Jones. Eben meets the adolescent Jennie Appleton, a kid playing alone in central park, who dresses and talks like a tot from 1910 and sings a ghostly tune from the beyond. He sketches the kid from memory and makes a substantial sale; but when he bumps into Jennie only a few days later, she appears to be several years older. Jones successfully convinces us she's growing from pigtails to womanhood; her coquettishness and immaturity are engaging and her adult incarnation embodies romance like a goddess fallen to Earth. Suspecting he's crazy and that Jennie is a phantom, Eben confides only in Miss Spinney. When the adult Jennie disappears, Eben puts together clues from her stories and from Jennie's teacher (from 20 years before!) that launch him in a race against a fated death: he rushes to Cape Cod to keep a rendezvous with his ghostly lover on the rocks below a storm-tossed lighthouse. Eben finally finds himself on a rocky spit of land in an impossibly violent storm, making love to a woman who doesn't exist while a tidal wave (of reality?) bears down upon them to vanquish his fantasy forever. A breathtaking ending color view shows the eponymous portrait in a museum being admired by a pre-teen Anne Francis (now there's a bit of romance out-of-time to ponder). 1

During a play she becomes little and frail, your kid sister, the girl next door, the beautiful princess from all the fairy tales you've ever heard. At the end of the play she was Fortinbras and looked about six-foot-six with shoulders that wouldn't go through a doorway head-on.

Love Hina Growing up, Ranba constantly told Kaolla Su to grow up faster, and that she would be beautiful when she was grown. This caused her to have an age-complex because she wanted to stay a kid and enjoy her childhood, but she also wanted to grow up for him because she loved him so much. She ran away from her problems so she could live a normal life. However, this didn't seem to solve Su's problems because she still struggled to decide whether she wanted to be a child or adult. As a result of this, when she saw the red moon she transformed into Adult Su and chased after Keitaro, who bears a resemblance to Ranba. The constant transformations were straining on her body though, so Amalla dropped by and managed to snap her out of it. 1
