Captain America
(APed) After indoctrinating his daughter, Red Skull accelerated her aging, hurling her headlong into adulthood. He bestowed upon her the name Mother Superior, and gave her charge of 4 young orphan girls. The Skull brought the girls to premature adulthood as well, experimenting in the process to give each a particular talent: The Sisters of Sin. After the Skull's death, Mother Superior and the Sisters were restored to their rightful ages. Mother Night, formerly Suprema, organized them into the second Sisters of Sin. APed
(male AR, male AP) Steve Rogers decided to investigate an unusually large number of child disappearances. He would need a disguise though, and enlisted the aid of his teammate Sersi in transforming him into a 15-year old version of himself. The Sisters of Sin were training young runaways to hate and kill. Rogers and the other "recruits" were off-loaded from the bus and put in holding cells the size of closets. One of the other kids, a girl named Jennifer, had claustrophobia and Sister Sin proceeded to beat her. Rogers tried to intervene, but found his teen body incapable of handling the combat moves of his adult self. Mother Night decided to have the Sisters beat him to death. Sersi had conditioned the transformation so that it would automatically reverse itself if he took more than 40 punches. Just as the Sisters of Sin closed in, he reverted to his adult self, and Captain America was able to take care of the Sisters with no difficulty. (marveldirectory) male AP RN

She outgrows her cottage when the disfigured man finds her again. You see her at 108cm, 118cm, full size at 170cm, then giant size. No actual growth shown, but she says she is growing 10 cm a day. Dazzle (CB growth) 1999. Writer of children's books reads fairy stories to young daughter. A real fairy, Crystal, listens in. Tom's dog decides to chase her. Crystal collides with a tree and is knocked out. She transforms into human form, and subsequently suffers amnesia. The bare bottom nudity is easily explained to children without any concerns (if a fairy grows to human size her clothes no longer fit!). Chantelle Stander was hot as the Fairy turned human. Tom finds Crystal and falls in love with her, much to the disappointment and disapproval of Melissa's teacher, Miss Martinet. Crystal has to return to Fairyland within 6 days!

Clive Barker's The Plague (coming of age) 2006. David finds his son comatose. The same thing has happened to every child on Earth. Every baby born since the event is also catatonic. Twice a day at the same time, they all have a brief seizure. Vast resources go into caretaker facilities for the children, who continue to grow. 10 years later, the teens wake up with strange powers and a thirst for blood. They start killing people in an organized way with a secret goal, pitting young against old in an unholy battle waged the world over.

Another friend said she also remembered "Raina" as childless and desperate. Marta says she even thought she had a record in her journal. Doppelgangers are ghostly doubles of living people, and look very similar to the ghosts of the deceased. In some cases a person will come upon his own doppelganger who is typically engaged in some future activity.

Madonna watches home movie of her 8th birthday. 8-year-old Madonna watches her adult self in black and white. Adult Madonna dances in the streets, while 8 and 30-year-old Madonna examine each other's worlds. The little girl tours the house that she will one day grow up to live in, and the adult tours her past, while the gospel sound of "Like A Prayer" plays. The time-traveling little girl walks into her adult bedroom to find the same doll that she received for her 8th birthday.... The 8-year-old holds a glass spiral-twist Pepsi bottle from the 60's, and 30-year-old Madonna looks on in approval with 80's Pepsi can in hand. Both images toast each other, and the adult says, "Make a wish." The little girl blows out the candles on the birthday cake. "A Generation Ahead".
The next day, Madonna's own version of "Like A Prayer" made its debut on MTV, and all hell broke loose.

Birth and After Birth (male adult baby) Tina Howe surreal play, Atlantic Theatre Company, 10/06. On a set decorated with a "Happy Birthday" banner and a Radio Flyer wagon full of presents, manic, child-obsessed parents prepare to surprise their 4-year-old son, Nicky (the droll Jordan Gelber). When he enters in his jammies, Nicky turns out to be balding, pot-bellied, and well over 200 pounds, a gargantuan comic manifestation of all the energy, worry, and ambition that this crazy couple have projected onto him. Howe manufactures the cacophony of noncommunication. Alternately coddled and abused, Nicky is engaged in a perpetual performance for his camera-toting father and his idealizing mother, but neither parent listens to him, or to the other. Nicky rampages around the room, tearing at packages, trashing the furniture, playing the cello, slithering between guests on the sofa - anything to get attention from his distracted and distracting parents.
Child-as-adult reversal has also been brilliantly played in the works of Charles Dizenzo and Dennis Potter.

"Maybe with some practice we can figure out how to change back into our clothes."
A thing that was part horse and part Cassie smiled at us with big horse teeth and said, "Hey, kids." Marco suddenly sat down. Very hard. He had never seen a morphing. "It's cool," I said, trying to sound very relaxed. "It's just Cassie."
I decided I'd better be a gentleman and look away. After all, when Tobias and I had morphed, we'd kind of morphed right out of our clothes. But I noticed that as Cassie emerged from the horse she was wearing a skintight blue outfit. One of those outfits girls wear to do aerobics. "How did you manage to morph with clothing?" I asked. "When Tobias and I did it . . . well, let's just say it's a good thing neither of you girls was around." "It took some practice," Cassie said, "And it can only be tight clothing. I tried it with a coat on. It got shredded.
About three minutes after he'd started the change, there was a completely normal Tobias, sitting naked on the end of my bed. I loaned him a pair of pants and a shirt, but my shoes were all the wrong size.

Family Affair (continuity error kinda like age stasis) 1966 to 1971, CBS. Young actress Anissa Jones (3/11/58) played 8-year-old "Buffy" on the show. The program survived long enough for her to enter puberty, but the producers and writers insisted that her character (and public image) had to remain pre-pubescent. Despite the fact that she was almost in high school, Anissa was forced to bind her breasts and play with dolls, not only on set but at press conferences and promotional appearances. Buffy had a doll named "Mrs. Beasley" that she would claim talked to her, often making humorous comments. Marketed by Mattel, it became the best-selling doll in America. When the show was canceled, then 13-year-old Jones expressed relief that she would no longer need to carry the doll around.

Farscape (old aged flash forward, RN) "The Locket" Aeryn returns from space mist looking significantly older. Crichton reminds the old woman she's only been gone a day, pointing out a locket Chiana gave her. "I'd forgotten how beautiful you were," Aeryn mutters. She insists she's only here to warn the others to escape. She says she has a granddaughter who will die unless she returns in the pod. Crichton joins her, and years go by. Aeryn and their granddaughter have brought Crichton to their beautiful "home" planet. Crichton hasn't adapted well, still thinking about returning to Moya. He's also significantly older, since his human lifespan is much shorter than Aeryn's. On Moya, Stark and Zhaan deduce the real problem - the senta-halo they are in is a place without time. More years go by, and the trees have grown tall. Now very old, Crichton and Aeryn take a walk among them. After a long series of attempts, they launch the pod and return to the ship. When the pod docks, Aeryn has died of old age. Crichton hurries to the command deck with all the speed of a grieving 80-year-old, hitting the controls. The maneuver takes the ship and her crew back in time to just before they entered the mist, erasing what happened. Zhaan comes out of her meditations and convinces the others to change course and not enter the mist. Crichton puzzles over a strange feeling. Aeryn lightly tells him, "If something happened I'm sure we would have remembered."

Isabelle, who, from some angles looks like Winona Ryder, hated Kreon so much that she took poison to escape him. Not the best way to avoid marrying a necromancer.
A peculiar flashing blue light causes instant aging. Peter and Meegan die of old age. Rash and horny Linda probably dies of old age. Carol turns into a character straight out of "The Evil Dead."
Mysterious Asian woman Soo Paek offers to lead Rick to safety. The luckless jester stumbles into a huge web and is held fast. The clear-skinned lady transforms into a misshapen spider before draining Rich dry.

4D Man (old aged) Irvin S. Yeaworth Jr. Scott Nelson dinks around in the fourth dimension. Anytime he uses his newfound abilities, he ages rapidly. He seeks medical help, having discovered the after effects, but accidentally takes a life (unwittingly drawing forth a man's energies). At first he reacts horrified. By sharing the same space with another (presumably adult) living creature, he can draw from their life force... the only downside is the person he draws from ends up aging to the point of death. People crumble to dust before our eyes!

Transformed (adult body swap ARed/old aged) 2006, Siren Tales Productions. Action Sci-fi with humor, advanced martial arts, old to young, m-to-f TF's. Leigh Jacobs, Pamela Sutch. Hilda has a machine that lets her be young forever. Once the body she's in gets too old, she swaps with someone younger. Cool transformation effects like the Michael Jackson "Black or White" video. Instead of transforming from the old crusty woman that looks like she's straight out of a John Waters film into young sexy brunette April, she ends up becoming a man. April, whose body was stolen by Hilda, takes on the body of the old woman and dies, leaving Alan to become a sexy woman. Simple moments such as Alan standing in the mirror exploring his new feminine side seem quite realistic. A weird little love story is laughingly outrageous. Vanessa also wants to rejuvenate. Looking in the mirror in a "who's the fairest of them all" kind of way, while listening to a radio commercial about anti-aging creme, she decides her body is getting too old, and hits up a local strip club in search of one that's younger, to transform into.

Real teen actors are described as looking too young. 33-year-old Stockard Channing played 17-year-old Rizzo in Grease. 16-year-old Judy Garland was cast as 11-year-old Dorothy Gale in The Wizard of Oz. James Van Der Beek (20), Joshua Jackson (19), and Katie Holmes (18), who described how they just got adult genitalia in the 1998 Dawson's Creek pilot, played 15-year-olds.

When a Tv-series is so rigidly defined that the children can't be allowed to grow up, lest the program dynamic change unrecognizably. Emmanuel Lewis, the star of Webster, was 11 when he started playing the title role and 16 when the show ended. His character aged only 3 years during the show's 6-year run, from age 5 to 8. Gary Coleman's character Arnold Jackson on Diff'rent Strokes aged much slower than the rest of the cast. SCTV featured a bittersweet parody: Martin Short portrayed a (former) child actor who has been in the same role for 30 years with the character on the show never aging, even though the actor did. Plot Relevant Age Up (AP) Tv trope/theme. A character is aged, usually to adolescence, after being in another dimension, time travel, or other. Done for same reason as Inexplicable Age Up (SORAS) in sitcoms. Easily spotted in advance if the presence of a baby or little kid doesn't make sense. Occasionally, the writers will decide the age-up was a mistake (or won't be able to hold on to the age-up actor), and will revert the character back to where they started. Examples: ST:DS9 "Time's Orphan" 8 y.o. Molly was adultified into Michelle Krusiec. Angel: Angel's son. Starhunter: Travis Montana goes from a young boy to an adult in between seasons.

Elsewhere (ghost AR) Gabrielle Zevin YA novel. 15 y.o. Liz Hall is killed. In the afterlife people get younger. Aside from the fact that Liz is aging backward, she is dealing with the same issues as most "living" teenagers, including romance, family, and friends. A sort of reverse coming-of-age story, or a going-of-age story. Is Elsewhere a second chance, or a next step? Owen is an adult man aging backward who lost the love of his life, and finds a new one. Despite the physical regression of the characters, there is a feeling of "growth" in the book. The relationship between Liz and Lucy was important because dogs age more rapidly than humans, giving Liz a chance to reunite with someone who wouldn't be dying an untimely or unnatural death. Liz and Lucy die at about the same age, and yet, in Lucy's case, death is no great tragedy. The "next" Liz will be eager to experience everything. Her parents (or whoever) will constantly be having to hold her back.

Sports Illustrated (flash forward) After 10 years, Tyra Banks, 33, returned to the Bahamas to recreate the shoot that landed her on the coveted 1997 Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition cover, even wearing the same red polka dot bikini - with a few adjustments. "I was about 140 pounds on that cover ... and I'm 161 now," the 5-foot-10 TV host says. "I'd say I looked like a stripper when I put it on." Some extra fabric was added to make the bikini a little less itsy-bitsy. "They covered the sides of my chest so that it wasn't so much hangin' out. (AR) #150 Kyle Rayner restores the dead Guardians as children in a mix of male and female, instead of adult males. In #160-161, Kyle and Jade meet several of the Guardian children. Lianna has the ability to use her powers already, but she still looks the same as the others. Later, she turns up missing. A mysterious figure is revealed to be Lianna. In the process of her powers prematurely awakening, she had forgotten who she was, and somehow changed in appearance to a full-sized adult Malthusian over 6 feet tall.

Green Lantern (AP) GL v2 205, 206. Stuck underground, Hal notices that Arisia has suddenly grown into adulthood. Previously, she had been the GL Corps's resident teenager. She was as strong-willed as the rest of them, but both her appearance and personality was that of a 14-year-old girl. Her costume still covers her larger body. When Hal points out to Arisia that she has suddenly become "a woman", her first response is to shriek and go into hysterics. Hal, after slapping her to get her to stop, moves on to patronizing dialogue: she's a healthy, growing girl. They discuss the probable causes, and conclude that Arisia's love for Hal subconsciously aged her. She tells him not to lead her on romantically. When the rest of the GLC shows up to rescue them, they find Hal and Arisia making out in each other's arms. Aftermath of Aped scene:

There's a nice bit towards the end involving the creation of a personal universe, and the human main character ends up going into the middle of a time storm. Long story short, she goes from like 12 to 18 in the space of 5 mins - even uses her rapidly growing finger nails to off one of the bad guy's "pets" that is trying to eat her.

Age Regression Story Archive (AR, AP) n. Website started on 2/27/97 by Heidegger as the first repository for Age Regression stories, info, images and other media. Earlier, a number of AR stories were posted on defunct Transformation Story Archive. Site also has age progression content, primarily age swaps and regressed persons returning to normal. Site contains more than 261 stories by dozens of regular authors, 100's of photo-stories, a continuous story, 1000's of images, chat and message forums. Common themes include magical artifacts, wish fulfillment, youth serums, age changing devices, loose clothing, revenge fantasy, humiliation, lost coordination and balance, schooling, sibling rivalry, role reversal, makeup, status, authority, language skills, spanking, breast feeding, etc.
Often, a character becomes so young he or she loses strength and reasoning faculties. Alternatively, an elderly person can be restored to full vigor. Many stories focus on adults returned to babies, who lose their independence, have to wear diapers, and ultimately forget who they were, as they return to innocence of youth.

WW Vol 2, #3 4/87 "Deadly Arrival". At first young Vanessa Kapatelis AKA "Nessie" was jealous of Diana's beauty. She ran upstairs to phone her friend to keep him away, because of what he would do if he saw Diana. Nessie fell asleep in the lounge. The statue she had forgotten about awaits! Diana and Julia heard a scream and ran to see what was happening. Decay was standing over an "old" Nessie.
In "A Long Day's Journey Into Fright!" 5/87 Diana rescued her from Decay who had magically aged her by decades, and Nessie started to love her as an elder sister. The high-school student dreamt of fighting evil alongside Diana. Dr. Psycho and Circe used her traumas, mental conditioning and physical implants to transform Vanessa into the third Silver Swan, and released her against her former friend. After Circe was defeated, Diana took Nessie to a hospital, but Sebastian Ballesteros, the man behind Nessie's transformation, abducted her. Veronica Cale transformed her further into a cyborg, and sent her back to fight Diana. Doctor Leslie Anderson removed the cyborg implants. Nessie
Robert Crumb (kinda like ARed from neck up, mental ARed) "The Big Baby" is a character who looks like a huge curvy woman with a baby head sucking on a pacifier who just says "goo". She thinks men are pacifiers. When she appeared on the cover of the "Complete Crumb" he put a little blurb saying "relax folks, she's 18". In the stories there's no reason to think that. 1

R.O.D. (male APed) "Read or Die" Tv series. The 3 main characters are young, female detectives who fight with paper. They become their favorite author's bodyguards. Miss Deep's son Junior was magically aged so he can be the right age to have a romance with the youngest heroine.
Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy, The (AA AR) "Mommy Fiercest / The Taking Tree" 8/12/05, 55. Billy's mom, Gladys, experiences a mid-life crisis as she finds crow's feet wrinkles on her face. Grim, who wants to use the bathroom real badly, uses his scythe to remove Gladys's wrinkles, which makes her a little girl. Young Gladys comes up to Billy with a new slice of bread. He thinks she is another child wanting to be friends, during which he names her "Corn". Mandy and Gladys fight over Billy, pulling him from movie to movie. Billy's dad fools around with Grim's scythe, and also becomes a child! Billy's parents meet, fall in love, and drive away in a car.
Simpsons, The (male age disguised) "Little Big Girl" 2007. Bart almost marries his pregnant 15 year old girlfriend, who thinks he took an overdose of anti-aging medication to stop accelerated aging disease.
Rupananda (old age dream sequence) The Buddha's stepsister was very beautiful. She thought he would scold her for her beauty. The Buddha knew Rupananda was very attached to her body, so he created a vision of a female form (visible only to Rupananda) to sit near him. The girl was very young and extremely beautiful. Rupananda realized that compared to this girl she looked like a monkey. While she was looking, the girl began to grow older. She became a young woman, then a grown up woman, middle aged, old - and finally she became a very old woman. Rupananda realized that the change of the body is a continuing process, and she found out that this beautiful young girl changed into an old ugly woman. Then the woman on stage, no longer able to control her body, was lying there, dying and finally she died. Her body got swollen and worms were all over it. Rupananda thus realized beauty is impermanent, and attained Arahantship.
