Myspace Growth Spurts
F/28 - 5'11"
1. When did you do the majority of your growin'?
I grew waaay too fast. Probably from the age of 8 to about 12. I was taller than my mom by the age of 10 and in Junior High I was the tallest girl (5'9") in my class (and also taller than most of the boys. I still have a problem being taller than most of the boys...but whatever.) When I was 3 years old I was just as tall as one of my brother's friends (about 5 years older than me...but he's still only about 5'2" now.
2. Are you the tallest in your family?
No, but my mom is 5'5" and i'm taller than all my aunts and my grandmothers so I win where the females of my family are concerned.

1. I was always the tallest kid in the class from kindergarten til 10th grade. Which I ended up being 5'11, and then I grew after high school, to the height I am now
3. I'm the youngest out of 4 kids, and I'm taller than my two older sisters, which are both 5'8"

Uh, I was always the tallest, as far back as I can remember. I was 2-feet long and weighed 9lbs 7oz when I was born and didn't stop until my early 20s.
3. Has your height surpassed the height of an older sibling?
Yes, my sister, who is 9-years my senior. I passed her by the time I was a freshman in high school and she was just starting her masters work.

Hm.. The most at one time was when I was 14- 5.5" in 3 months.. That was fun.. Haha, but I dunno.. I'm still growing now.

1. I was always taller than everyone when i was small as far as i can remember!!
2. I am the tallest in my family between my mom, brother and i.
3. I am taller than my older brother, even though it took him until he graduated college to accept it lol because it's by 2 inches! haha!

In 7th grade I grew 8 inches!
2. Are you the tallest in your family?
Oh god no my parents are 6' 4'' and 6' 5'' and all my cousins are taller which says a lot since I'm 6' 3''
I don't have an older sibling but my little sister is 13 and only 5'10" so I still have her beat.

I did most of my growing after I quit gymnastics my sophomore year of HS... I was 5'5 1/2 when I quit... and I was 5'9 by the end of my junior year... over the next 2 years I grew another inch... I was a late bloomer because gymnastics really stunted my growth... my mother is only 5'6...

I think I've been growing evenly since birth until I was a junior in high school

1. Well, I never really had a growth spurt; I was always amongst the tallest girls in my class, but never the very tallest. However, I apparently grew 3/4 of an inch in my early twenties, since my height was 5'9" and 1/4 when I was 21/22, but now I am 5'10". I thought girls were supposed to stop growing earlier than that! Some of the other women in my family are the same height as I am.
3. I have only one younger sister, and she is about 5'8"; she complains that she is too tall, which of course annoys me.

1. between 8th grade to 9th grade. I grew 6 inches in a year.
3. Yes, my older sisters are 5'6" and 5'8".

I think I got you beat. I'm 30 years old and I grew almost half an inch. I knew this b/c the doctor measured me last year during my check up then of course remeasured me this year. He couldn't believe it. He had two nurses come in and re check. So now I'm 6'1 and a half. I thought my pants were shrinking, obviously not!

Today's "People" section of the paper included an eyebrow raising headline about Colombian banshee "Busting out all over". First off, during a particularly athletic segment of her concert she burst the seams of her snakeskin jeans after a signature hipthrust, ever the trooper she finished her song and escaped for a costume change.


The sight of her brings a smile to my face. "Come here."
I open my arms and she crosses to me, sinking to the floor beside my seat and dropping her head as is our habit from her childhood. My arms fold around her shoulders and I close my eyes, remembering every moment spent in this position as she grew taller and taller in my embrace.
She grumbled as she shrugged in her shirt that was too small for her; she was growing like wildfire now, having added an inch a month over the summer. Soon, she'd begin to widen through the hips, and grow some breasts. For now though, she was simply ungainly, and clumsy to the point of silliness.


The child’s hips widened, and her legs extended even faster and became more shapely. He began to hear tearing, but didn't yet see the new gaps that were opening all over her tightening clothes. The small Asian child was clearly making herself grow up in real time, for his eyes only. Her breasts suddenly appeared and expanded (oh, as if you didn't expect that) to a size slightly larger than that of an average woman. Her lips became fuller and I suppose you could say luscious. Black hair slowly slid most of the way down her back. She was now a 5'4" tall Asian woman in moderate to severely torn clothes that were of course much too tight and short, with slender legs, hips wider than her shoulders, slightly above average sized breasts, and an adult looking Japanese face with very tangled black hair. She let out a scream in her now fully adult voice.
