Alice in Wonderland
"Growing Up" - 2010
Well I suppose I better do as the letter says," she mused and with that she picked up the little cake and took a small bite.
Alice put down the cake. It had tasted strange and now, she actually felt strange too. She stood up and was surprised to see that she had grown and now could almost not get out of the chair.
She managed it and a pushed away the glass table which shattered into a thousand tiny pieces on the dusty floor. The glass melted and then flowed together in a silvery pool. Alice stood over it and looked down at the surface. She almost did not recognise the face that looked back at her and probably would not have if it hadn't been for the shape of her lips and the colour of her eyes. It was her of course but it was not the Alice that had first fallen into wonderland what seemed like an age ago. It was not the Alice who had cut her hand on the door of the Cathedral and it certainly was not the Alice who had been lying in a field with her sister on a nice summer's day in the countryside that very afternoon. This Alice was older.
She tilted her head slightly, the reflection did likewise. She shook her hair, which had been a flowing blonde but was now a dusty brown, and the reflection copied. It is definitely me, Alice was certain, but it is me all grown up! Heavens how different I look. She looked down at herself. Her legs and arms were longer and her chest was bigger. Her 'pretty little white dress' that her grandfather had given her was now split at the seams and it was only by taking short, sharp breaths that Alice managed not to rip it completely!
Before she could think anymore a noise behind made her spin around. The cat, looking every bit like on of those Egyptian gods she had learnt all about at school (Alice had learnt all these gods by heart), was growing before her eyes. It grew as tall as Alice was (I must be almost as tall as Grandpa now! she thought) with one paw raised.
A pair of white pyjamas appeared on the paw, neatly folded. A little pink note laid on top of them stated, in what looked like a rushed scribble, that she would need a change of clothes soon.
She let out a big sigh. Everything did seem a lot more complicated now she had grown up. The sigh caused her little dress to rip all along the sides. The note flew up into the air with a rush of blue smoke, which left behind blue butterflies that fluttered down and settled on the pyjamas becoming part of the embroidery, and let out a shriek of laughter as it formed a pair of lips and let out a cry which sounded like I told you so.
Alice ignored the note and it simply fluttered down to the ground by her feet. She quickly ripped off the rest of the dress and quickly put on the pyjamas. They fitted her perfectly and she turned to the mirror on the floor to see what she looked like. But alas! The last bits of it were seeping into the dusty floor. The cake was still on the floor though, with a small paper plate underneath it. There was no evidence on Alice's nibble earlier. She picked it up and put in the pocket of her pyjamas.
Another thud shook the floor. It was coming from the great door at the end of the long hall. The little door that a younger Alice had cut her hand on was situated could just be seen to the bottom right-corner.
She let out a sob and tears began to flow down her beautiful cheeks.
As Alice was carried away on the backs of all the little ants she wondered if she was ever to get back to her Grandfather's house. As unpleasant as it was that Grandmother had left, it was still a nicer place than the land she found herself in now. And how everybody would react now that she had grown up! The maid, for one, would not be able to pick on Alice, nor her sister, anymore. If she did, Alice had the good mind of boxing her ears!

North Wind
Chapter 3: Old Diamond
"I'm North Wind."
"But you're no bigger than me."
"Do you think I care about how big or how little I am? Didn't you see me this evening? I was less then."
"But you are not big enough to take care of me. I think you are only Miss North Wind."
"I am big enough to show you the way, anyhow. But if you won't come, why, you must stay."
"I must dress myself. I didn't mind with a grown lady, but I couldn't go with a little girl in my night-gown."
"You don't try" said North Wind, who from the top looked down a foot taller than before.
"Give me your hand again, and I will try" said Diamond.
And North Wind was now tall as a full-grown girl. Her hair was flying about her head, and the wind was blowing a breeze down the river. But she turned aside and went up a narrow lane, and as she went her hair fell down around her.

Svelte Tia aged fifty years in seconds.
From the peak of physical perfection, she became a stooped, wrinkled old lady whose dry skin hung from brittle bones. As she died and crumbled to dust, a gurgling baby appeared at her feet, struggling in the grass. The child grew into an awkward girl, then a confident teen.

- Franklin Richards + Katie Power. Sophomore, talkative, nosy, flirty and incredibly immature. She adores her family and friends, has a thing for older guys and follows her padre's example of being an omega mutant. Nvm that she really doesn't care (just wants to wear her mom's suit) and is only impressed with her age-shifting power. Hello senior discounts and alcohol~

Mickey Mouse Club - Annette was the first Mouseketeer to mature right there on the air in front of us. We watched her breasts develop, her lips become full and sensual, her hips begin to show curves. Let me tell you it was exciting watching that little girl grow up. We saw it day by day.

Remember Sunday
- (adult amnesia) ABC, 2013. Lonely waitress meets handsome guy. Deep down, we all yearn to be with someone who falls in love with us every day. That's what Gus offers Molly. Every time he sees her, he doesn't remember her - but he falls in love with her all over again anyway!

When I was about 13, my little sister (she was around 5) and I went to a 10-year-old birthday party that didn't happen in the person's exact birth date. She asked me why they hadn't thrown the party earlier and I told her that when a person turns 10 years old, the person is transformed into a random animal for a whole day, and that's why they couldn't have had the party on the same day.
I had forgotten about this lie until one week before her tenth birthday, she was desperate and, at the same time, thrilled, asking me things like "What if I turn into a cockroach and someone kills me?", "I don't want to be a snake, I hate snakes, I want to be a bird! What do you think I'll become?"
I told her to calm down, that I would protect her. Then the day came, and I regretted telling all those lies, the disappointment and sadness in her eyes when my mother told her the truth were heartbreaking.
Turns out she really wanted to become a random animal for one day - (CrimsonKing)

My first and only time I seen someone transform was this pleasant dream of a person you like very much, a crush. Then it turned into a lucid dream. And all of a sudden I open my eyes, and the face aged like in Indiana Jones movie when he drinks from the wrong grail, it also turned dark, and from lush, vivid environment around her, it turned black, dark it was my room in darkness, and above me this aged old face of woman. And at the top of it I couldn't move, I felt pressure on my chest, and it was aging before me.
And to imagine this can repeat with persons you like, the persons you dream about which is for me the most genuine emotion you like someone, I think it is beyond evil our minds can do this. :(

Pink Floyd - "Time"
Ticking away the moments that make up a dull day
Fritter and waste the hours In an off-hand way
Kicking around on a piece of ground In your home town
Waiting for someone or something to show you the way
Tired of lying in the sunshine, staying home to watch the rain
You are young and life is long, and there is time to kill today
And then one day you find, ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun
And you run and you run, to catch up with the sun, but it's sinking
Racing around to come up behind you again
The sun is the same, in a relative way, but you're older
Shorter of breath, and one day closer to death

Robert A. Heinlein - "Stranger in a Strange Land"
Anybody can look at a pretty girl and see a pretty girl. An artist can look at a pretty girl and see the old woman she will become. A better artist can look at an old woman and see the pretty girl that she used to be. But a great artist - a master - and that is what Auguste Rodin was - can look at an old woman, portray her exactly as she is... and force the viewer to see the pretty girl she used to be.... and more than that, he can make anyone with the sensitivity of an armadillo, or even you, see that this lovely young girl is still alive, not old and ugly at all, but simply prisoned inside her ruined body. He can make you feel the quiet, endless tragedy that there was never a girl born who ever grew older than eighteen in her heart.... no matter what the merciless hours have done to her. Look at her, Ben. Growing old doesn't matter to you and me; we were never meant to be admired."
