Zoku Natsume Yuujinchou
- (male hominoid AP, TF) Anime ep4 2008, The Baby Bird Hatches.
Natsume and Nyanko-sensei witness the birth of a new life. A tiny little baby is born with antlers.
A cross between a bird and a dragon, tatsumis take on the form of whoever they set their eyes on first so that they will be loved. Resembling a miniature Natsume, it will return to its original form after growing for a certain length of time upon leaving its nest. Natsume reveals the little clothes he has sewn for the baby. They don’t fit too badly, but they have yet to know what it eats.
The next day Natsume finds his room in a very messed up state. He wonders if Nyanko had tried to eat the baby, but finds it has built a vase-like nest out of paper and wants Natsume to go inside to play with it.
Each day, Tama grows a little bigger. It declines to eat because it doesn’t want to grow up and leave Natsume.
He is startled when a rodent runs past him. It turns out to be the youkai monk Isotsuki here for the baby. Nyanko tries to stop him, but ends up being sealed before he can transform. Natsume runs off with the baby into the forest. Isotsuki catches up easily and tries to take the baby by force.
Out of anger, Tama grows up to full size, seizing Isotsuki. Nyanko explains it has lost its senses by growing up so suddenly. Natsume pleads Tama to release the rat youkai, but it seems the shock of growing too fast has made Tama forget itself. Nyanko-sensei transforms into his majestic form and confronts Tama until Natsume touches its beak and manages to calm it down, freeing Isotsuki.
Tama then sends Natsume and Nyanko-sensei home and they bid their farewell - screencaps - (LHY)

Since 1977, David Carradine had been at work on a film about the famous World War I courtesan and spy, starring his own daughter Calista Carradine (4/1962). It was supposed to take 25 years to make, as his daughter's real life was going to parallel Mata Hari's life from teenhood until her death by firing squad at age 41. Filming over 3 decades in Holland, India, and the U.S., he would shoot a few scenes at a time whenever he had money. He discussed the project in his book Endless Highway.

Fictional grownups have been known to disguise themselves as some pretty silly things. From time to time, Tv adults like to try and fool everyone by masquerading as gigantic children, and occasionally teenagers as well. In an attempt to blend in with their supposed age group, Totally Radical speech patterns will nearly always be employed and the character will always end up looking like an idiot. At least to the viewers, that is. The other characters sometimes can't see through this odd-looking, strangely out-of-date-sounding kid's "clever" disguise. Depending on the realism of the show, the adult in question will either use:
- Disguise type A: dressed in an exaggerated, stereotypical version of what all today's hip young teens or kids are wearing.
- Disguise type B: fall back on cartoonish old classics such as beanies with propellers, sailor suits, and giant lollipops.
Not to be confused with Dawson Casting, which is about adult actors portraying teenagers, typically with some level of Suspension Of Disbelief on the part of the audience. Roughly the inverse of Totem Pole Trench (AA) in which children pile up and put on a Conspicuous Trenchcoat to make them look like an adult, and Sexy Schoolwoman (AA)

Because he is older, Ike and Rachel look to him for dinner. However, Zeke's moustache grows quickly, and soon he is balding! Jay and Zeke are supposed to go to a party, but the aging Zeke could not make it because he forgets his heart medicine. It is funny to see a progressively older Zeke struggling to get on a skateboard. Zeke goes from 14 to 94 in just 6 hours! Jay manages to get Zeke to draw himself as a young person just moments before the unthinkable happens, but the pad continues to make him even younger. Soon, Zeke is a 3 year-old kid, throwing tantrums and cramming his mouth with chocolate cookies. In the nick of time, Zeke draws himself back to his age with a stroke of genius: a stick figure of himself fitting in his pants. This way, the Pad changes Zeke back to his age and he will not age anymore.
