(AP AA blinks) 2000 Japanese SNK rhythm game set in a cartoon world. Amp (the boy), or Spica (the girl) try to get into the Flitz Fiesta, but are told they are too young to Flitz well. After being beaten by a mummy, something happens that causes the hero to grow up, resulting in a grown-up dance off against the mummy, and then against King. It's just a flash of light and then they're older. The After video is "Grown-Up World", the first song after the AP scene. Some talking occurs during the storymode dance scenes when the girls find out their APed bodies are better for dancing. In Amp's game, his rival Ival sacrifices himself to age Amp up. In Spica's game, rival witch Iyami uses her magic to grow the 2 of them up. Later in Amp's game, Ival comes back all grown up. Token mascot bunny Yussa reveals himself to actually be a sexy bunny woman.

Hook calmly assures Peter that he will die contentedly since he has lived a full life as a child, youth, and man. Peter's existence will always be limited since he's stuck being a boy forever. Peter surprises the Lost Boys by sparing Hook's life and leaving without explanation. Hook then sets himself free through an impressive feat of strength that scatters the Lost Boys. Peter starts drawing lines on his face to make himself look old. Wendy and Tinker Bell make fun of Peter and he storms off.
The Darlings and Lost Boys finally find Peter. Our hero was so determined to grow up that he's actually aged into a teenager in a matter of hours! He is only interested in finding people his own age to hang out with, and heads back into the forest.
Neverland begins to wither away. By now Peter has aged into a full-grown adult!

(AR) Anime. Creepy and stalker-ish, green-haired Amber is Hei's old comrade from the War. Amber's contractor power is control of time. She can turn back time, and can even see into the future to some degree. The price that she has to pay, however, is high. Every time she uses her power, she becomes younger. This might seem nice initially, but by the end of the series, she looks like a toddler. For obvious reasons, the Amber/Hei pairing has no future. It will be quite impossible.

Common literary device used in medieval literature and Celtic mythology. A hideous woman bargains with a man to kiss or marry her, sometimes for the answer to a question on a quest. He complies, but is personally disgusted and publically embarassed by his ancient and ugly bride. When he cannot bring himself to sleep with her, the lady reproaches him, and asks him to make a decision. When he makes the right choice, she transforms into a beautiful young form. See examples in story section.

"Loathly Lady"
(old aged disguised, ARed to young adult) Medieval literary theme. Examples:
- Wife of Bath's Tale, The from The Canterbury Tales, Geoffrey Chaucer, 1395. A fairy tale hag wins the love of a handsome young knight, gains dominance over him in marriage, and through his love and submission, magically transforms herself into a young woman again.
The old woman and the knight converse in their marriage bed about the fact that he is unhappy because she is ugly and low-born. She says he can choose between her being ugly and faithful or beautiful and unfaithful. He gives the choice to her to become whatever would bring her the most honour and happiness; pleased with the "maistrie" of her husband that all women want, she becomes young, fair and faithful to live with him happily until the end of their days.
In other versions, she will be either ugly by day and beautiful by night, or the other way around. Variations are found in the romances "The Wedding of Sir Gawain and Dame Ragnelle", and "The Marriage of Sir Gawain".
- Story of King Arthur and His Knights, The Howard Pyle version, 1903. Sir Gawaine said, "This is a shame for me to behave in this way; for since I have married that lady she is my true wedded wife." Gawaine then repairs to his wife's chamber, apologizing for his neglect. This is all the concession Gawaine needs to make. The Loathly Lady immediately changes into a beautiful fairy princess. "Because thou has taken me for thy wife with thine own free will and great courtesy," Gawaine's lady says, "so is part of that enchantment which lay upon me removed from me," asking him to decide which part of the day he would have her beautiful.
- The theme became a staple of Arthurian and Holy Grail literature: "Perceval", by Chretien de Troyes, 1190, "Parzival", by Wolfram von Eschenbach, 1220, and the Welsh Romance "Peredur son of Efrawg".
- In The Adventures of the Sons of Eochaid Mugmedon, Niall of the Nine Hostages proves himself to be the rightful High King of Ireland by embracing her. Similar stories are told about the earlier kings Lugaid Laigde and Conn of the Hundred Battles.
- Hrolfs saga kraka Old Norse, c. 1400. Helgi was visited by an ugly being in his hunting house. As the thing got into his bed, it turned into an elf clad in silk, the most beautiful female he had ever seen. A couple of days after the date had passed, he was visited by the woman carrying his daughter Skuld.

(ARed TG monster disguised, RN) Al Sarrantonio, 1982. From horror anthology Terrors, Charles L. Grant.
3rd grader Raylee tells story about a boy named "Pumpkinhead" with an enormously oversized head and orange skin. Raylee is invited to a Halloween party later that night. She arrives dressed as a black cat and sneaks in quietly. The other kids demand that she finish her story. She is really scared, and begs not to. The kids taunt her, and she finally lets out a scream and agrees. Pumpkinhead's parents finally found a doctor who transformed his body, and used plastic to give him a new face. Raylee shocks everyone by revealing that the doctor changed Pumpkinhead into a little girl! She then tells them that his new face was only a mask, with the real Pumpkinhead inside just waiting for the chance to come out. Suddenly her voice changes, and her face begins to grow. Her head inflates to the size of a pumpkin, and her face explodes like a balloon, revealing the real Pumpkinhead. She keeps whispering that all he ever wanted was friends, and then takes out a butcher knife. The words "My lunch and dinner, my dinner and breakfast" are chanted, and the story ends with the basement filled with the screams of the children. (Dreamstalker)

(AP AA TFs) Vol 1, Son Hee-Joon, UDON. Mara, the most wanted criminal in Oz, defeated the Witch of the East. When her new friends get their butts whopped, she transforms into a witch. Like so many other magical girl stories, the change to her alter ego includes her clothes being ripped away, and replaced with more suitable, butt-kicking attire. In Mara's case, the metamorphosis also changes her into an older, generously endowed beauty, complete with a silly pointy hat and high heels.

He can become his true form of Guilt-na-Zan for 10 minutes by sucking blood. He can also transform by sniffing a bottle with "spiritual elements" of Tanae's blood, but the transformation is delayed, and can have unwanted side effects.
- (male AP AR) Dune sucks wickedness from other people to increase his power. At max strength he looks like a teen/adult, but when he is drained of all his stored up wickedness, he becomes a young boy again.

(ARed) 2008. Based on book series. Aunt Lucinda is 86 1/2 years old. At the end of the movie she is reunited with her father, her youth is restored, and she goes back to being 6 1/2. (APed, reincarnation age stasis) Japan, 1998, Ataru Oikawa. Derived from Junji Itoh's manga of the same name. A police investigation into the murder of high school student Tomie Kawakami (Miho Kanno) uncovers a history of mysterious deaths of girls with the same name going back to the 1860s. Tsukiko's former high school teacher is rearing a peculiar baby-like creature he found in a cardboard box. After feeding it (at one point it mistakenly eats a cockroach), it grows into a little girl. And then she's a not-so-little girl. Over the span of a few weeks it has grown into a beautiful teenager with orange eyes, responding to the name Tomie Kawakami. It isn't long before she's preening in front of a mirror and making advances on her co-workers at the little cafe' around the corner. Tomie can, it seems, resurrect herself from a single drop of blood, and is hellbent on making life miserable for Tsukiko. The beautiful monster will not die and returns laughing - ready to lure her next victims into lunacy.

(male adult babies) Diaper Dandies Police in Mount Lebanon, Pa., said in 12/07 that no illegal acts were involved, but some parents still want to know why the nondenominational Christian Mount Lebanon Young Life club staged a social event for teenagers in which boys wore adult diapers, bibs and bonnets and sat on the laps of girls while being spoon-fed. Youth minister O.J. Wandrisco said that the skits were not "dirty," but were intended "to break down the walls and let (the kids) have fun." According to one parent, a previous skit involved kids eating chocolate pudding out of diapers.
