The professor invents an atomic youth machine and demonstrates it on a chicken in front of Olive Oil, Popeye and Brutus. Olive asks if it works on people and the professor says I don't know. She says why don't you volunteer Brutus, and he says "I volunteer Popeye".
He goes in after being called chicken and says "just stop it before I become an egg". Well Brutus pushes the button for baby and out comes a baby Popeye. Brutus then starts putting the moves on Olive. After Brutus brutalizes and spanks him he gets Olive to feed him some ground spinach and grows up instantly. He then knocks Brutus into the machine and pushes the button for baby.

Brutus gets a youth potion from the Sea Hag (a witch that appeared in the comic strip but never in the Paramount theatrical cartoons). The label on the potion bottle advises "Take only one drop. The more you take, the younger you get." Brutus takes one drop and becomes a thinner handsome fellow with a gigolo mustache. He sweeps Olive off her feet, but Popeye recognizes Brutus' voice. Olive refuses to believe him, saying Brutus is fat and ugly.

Popeye finds the potion bottle in Brutus back pocket. He reads the one drop requirement and adds, "If one drop did that to Brutus, imagine what a good swig will do for me." The potion turns him into a toddler who can only whine "Mommy!" Brutus decides it's more fun to spank Popeye than woo Olive. So Olive gives Popeye a teaspoon of spinach, and he paddles the adult Brutus.
Olive later takes a swig of the potion to join Popeye in toddler-hood.

Bluto is at work shoeing a horse. The mailman comes along with Bluto's draft notice. He tries several ploys to get out of serving and complains to the draft board, constituted by Popeye. Finally, he tries to hurt himself, but he gains a sense of patriotism in the end. Popeye feeds spinach (including the can) to Bluto so that Bluto can help fight Japanese spies.

Brutus basically plays a conquistador who guzzles from the fountain. He basically just shrank and lost the beard.

Popeye tells Swee'Pea the story of Ponce De Leon (played by Popeye), who found a fountain of youth. At the end of this story, Brutus falls in the fountain and is turned in a baby. Olive plays a native. Wimpy accidentally appears.

The jerky animation makes it so Brutus is actually shrinking by volume instead of getting younger. We realize he has become a baby only by an off-screen cry, followed by Olive Oyl pulling to her a baby that doesn't look much like Brutus. (Maybe he was discouraged by the breast-feeding prospects).

There was a B/W episode which featured Pappy. I remember very little about this one other than he ended up in court and later some characters ended up in the 'Fountain of Youth'. AR'ed into babies.

Abducted by aliens, Popeye is experimented on. Martians use an age-alteration device to age Popeye to beyond the century mark. Luckily, he has spinach enough at hand to reverse the effect, though he gulps down too much, regressing to under 5, until he pulls a handful of spinach from his still-chewing jaws, and reverts to his true age again.
