Goosebumps

Book: Goosebumps # 28: "The Cuckoo Clock of Doom"

The AR is much more elaborate than in the TV series episode. Michael Webster haplessly travels back through his life, reliving his little sister's worst pranks. He first turns the cuckoo's head around at the second stroke of midnight, three days after his birthday. When he wakes the next morning, it is his birthday again. Next day, it is two days before his birthday, then another two days. When he next wakes, he is eight years old. On the following days, he is seven, then five, four, then a one year old baby.

The book is good at describing what a twelve year old would be thinking in that situation.
